On January 16-17, 2021, the online part of the 2021 18th China Cultural Industry New Year Forum and China Fuzhou Cultural and Creative Ecological Conference was successfully held. Former Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Special Researcher Fan Jianhua of the Research Center of Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in Yunnan Province, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southern University of Science and Technology, Dean and Professor of the Institute of Cultural Industry of Shenzhen University Li Fengliang, Professor of the Department of Information Management, Peking University, Beijing Zhou Qingshan, a researcher at the University's Institute of Cultural Industry, and Xiao Yongliang, executive dean of the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries of Beijing Normal University, director and professor of the Institute of Digital Media, gave specially invited keynote speeches for four online theme forums.
Professor Fan Jianhua shared the theme of "Strategic Positioning of Cultural Industry Development in the "14th Five-Year" under the Great Changes Unseen in a Century". Professor Fan started with the "Fourteenth Five-Year Cultural Industry Development Background" and based on the current international and domestic situation. As an example, the analysis explained the seven strategic positionings of the cultural industry development during the 14th Five-Year Plan, namely, adherence to the basic principle of "people-centered", "content is king", "innovation as the core", and "science and technology". Professor Zhou Qingshan shared "Data Elements Drive the Upgrading and Development of the Digital Cultural Industry". Professor Zhou explained the data elements from the aspects of data empowerment and digital content cross-border collaboration, data-driven cultural industry integration, and data traceability to build trust and supervision. It plays an important role in the upgrading and development of the cultural industry. Taking the application of Block chain as an example, we have analyzed the use of data elements and strategies.
Professor Xiao Yongliang gave a keynote speech entitled "The Redesign of Digital Creativity". Professor Xiao explained the essential characteristics of digital creativity from the perspective of quantum mechanics, and then used vivid cases, from macroscopic, artistic, and scientific aspects. In the closed-door session of the think tank dialogue on the afternoon of the 16th, hosted by Professor Li Xiangmin, vice dean of Nanjing University of the Arts and dean of Zijin Cultural and Creative Research Institute, ten major figures in the cultural industry gathered to review the development process of the cultural industry in the past year. Analyze the dynamics of the cultural industry, look forward to the development trend of the industry in the new year, and contribute insights to solve the problems of industrial development. During the conference, the participating experts reviewed the development process of the cultural industry this year, and discussed topics such as the integration and innovation of cultural technology to promote new business formats, rural cultural tourism development, discipline construction and talent training, the competitiveness of state-owned cultural enterprises and cultural globalization, etc. Particular attention is paid to how the cultural industry will break the situation after the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, and what core issues the cultural industry should pay attention to in the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan".

The Chinese Cultural Industry New Year Forum was initiated by Peking University and has been held since 2003 to the 18th session. The 18th China Cultural Industry New Year Forum in 2021 and the first China Fuzhou Cultural and Creative Ecological Conference will take "Towards 2035: Cultural Power and New Development Pattern" as the theme.
